Press the ＜OPTIONS Button＞ or the ＜○ Button＞ on the title screen to proceed to the Entrance screen.
Press the ＜Directional Buttons＞ or the ＜Left Stick＞ on the title screen to proceed to the Entrance screen.
Select the mode you wish to play with the directional buttons, then confirm with the ＜△ Button＞.
About Saving Data
This game has an autosave function.
System data will be automatically saved at various times, such as after a battle, or after changing settings in Options.
In Options, you can also perform a manual data save.
The game is saving while the left icon is displayed. Please do not exit the game while it's onscreen.

- Match Format
- The player to reduce both opponent characters' health to 0 is the winner.
- Time Limit
- The time limit is 180 seconds (under default settings).
When time runs out, the player with more total health is determined to be the winner.
*Time limit can be changed in Options.
- If both players hit 0 health at the same time, or time runs out with the exact same amount of health, it will be declared a draw, and there will be an additional round.
If neither player wins in the additional round, both will be declared the loser.
You can open the pause menu by pressing the ＜OPTIONS Button＞ during battle.
*The entries displayed can differ depending on the mode.
However, even if you open the pause menu during online play, the game will continue to run.

Gauge Screen Layout
Explanation of various icons and gauges.
- 1. Health Gauge
- Displays the character's health.
You win when you reduce both opponent characters' health to zero.
- 2. Character in Use
- The character currently in control.
- 3. Time Count
- The time remaining. The match ends when this reaches zero.
- 4. Skill Gauge
- Used for powerful actions.
- 5. Cross Gauge
- Used for powerful partner actions.
- 6. Hit Count, Damage
The number of hits you've currently landed on the opponent, and the amount of damage dealt.
When the hit count is red, it was an unavoidable combo. When it's blue, it means that there was a chance to avoid the combo, and the number of avoidable hits appears underneath.
Character Select Screen
The character selection screen displays to choose characters during modes like VS Mode or Network Mode.
